Overberg means simply “over the mountain” and evokes the company’s goal:- To enable its clients to overcome seemingly insurmountable problems to obtain a clearer view of the solution.
Overberg, the name of a region forming the southern tip of Africa, is bounded on one side by mountains and on the other by a sea area of bountiful wealth and awesome destructive power. Its geology holds hydrocarbons and its waters teem with fish and sea mammals.
Bounded by the Atlantic and Indian oceans it is a region where renewable energy from wind, waves, ocean currents and the sun are all present in the extreme.
The Overberg coastline is littered with the wrecks of ships that have been overcome by the forces of nature – a constant reminder of the challenges facing engineers.
